This extensive series comprises manuscript notes by Graham and cuttings from newspapers and magazines arranged by subject which were originally housed by Graham in a variety of expanding files, folders and envelopes

1961-1993;  File of typescript notes and newscuttings originally housed in an expanding file. Originally compliled by Graham 1961-1984, later sorted and annotated and new material added 1991-1993. The contents of this file are now housed in boxes 9 to 16. Box 9: English and Scottish pottery, clocks and watches, jewellery, American ceramics, Australian tokens and medals, Country Life articles of Australian interest. Box 10: Museums and libraries in Australia and overseas, restaurants, clubs, hotels, school badges, retail stores in Sydney. Box 11: Photography in Australia, Masonic and Jewish collections, transport, ships and shipping, confectionery, 'assorted subjects' [mainly concerning Australian companies]. Boxes 12 and 13: Australian silver. Box 14: Australian artists and illustrators, Australian furniture. Box 15: Iron in Australia, insurance companies (fire marks), metal kitchenware, 'Japanned' wares, articles from Weekend Business Review concerning books and book auctions. Box 16: 'Auction notes and similar, and collections', 'Glass study' [research proposal by Anne Bickford, 1981, with annotations by Graham], Australian pottery, overseas newscutting of Australian interest. 1974-1991;  File of typescript notes and newscuttings mainly concerning Australian items. Originally housed by Graham in an expanding file. The contents of this file are now housed in boxes 17 to 22. Box 17: Disney related items, comics, Beatles, etc;  arts and crafts, furniture;  Australian glass. Box 18: Australian glass (continued), Aboriginal inspired decoration, books and libraries. Box 19: Miscellaneous subjects including barbering, grocery/hardware and military uniforms;  New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia and the Pacific;  toys and games;  textiles, paper and typewriters. Box 20: Berlei and Hurley family;  embroidery and textiles;  miscellaneous subjects including typewriters, telephones, tea, perfumery, Christmas customs and commercial art. Box 21: Miscellaneous subjects including Chinese and Japanese goods in Australia, roller skating, ostriches, invitations, umbrellas, pipes, zoos and circuses, flora and fauna, pets, obituaries, menus, matches and history of sports. Box 22: Rubber, tyres and bicycles;  Australian music, Boosey and Hawkes, Marsh Brothers;  theatre buildings and musicians;  opera, ballet, and miscellaneous newscuttings concerning the theatre (Call No.: ML MSS 6210/17-22)

1961-1978;  File of cuttings mainly from Country Life and other magazines. Originally housed by Graham in an expanding file labelled: 'Not Australian - English, Continental, Oriental ceramics, glass, silver, fabric, metals, furniture, prints, miscellaneous'. The contents of this file are now housed in boxes 23 to 25. Box 23: Continental porcelain and pottery, English porcelain and pottery, European furniture and clocks, Chinese ceramics, oriental art, miscellaneous topics. Box 24: Textiles, embroideries, wallpapers, silver, pewter, metals, engravings and prints, buildings, small arts and crafts, glass, modern ceramics and household items. Box 25: Theatre, sporting art, transport, clothing, jewellery, 'Collectors' Questions', miniatures and photography  (Call No.: ML MSS 6210/23-25)

ca. 1958-1994;  'Newspaper clippings - various papers from late 1950s', being files of newscuttings mainly concerning historic buildings. Originally housed by Graham in labelled boxes and envelopes. Now housed in box 26 and part of box 27. Box 26: Historic buildings in Sydney, Newcastle and NSW country towns. Box 27: Historic buildings in non-NSW country towns (Call No.: ML MSS 6210/26-27)

ca. 1958-1994;  Notes, catalogues and newscuttings concerning pottery and porcelain, most of which were originally arranged by Graham in labelled envelopes. Now housed in boxes 27 to 32. Box 27: Two notebooks labelled 'Pottery and porcelain notes', ca. 1960-1961;  file of newscuttings, ca. 1958-1960, concerning pottery and porcelain, with loose cuttings added by Graham to 1988 (originally housed in a springback folder);  general notes, Sydney directory listings, Sydney potteries including Fowler, Mashman and Bakewell. Box 28: Potteries including Irrawang, Black and Skinner. Box 29: Sydney, NSW country and Lithgow. Box 30: Lithgow and Victoria. Box 31: Tasmania, South Australia, Queensland. Box 32: Imported ceramics, crystal and glass, American coloured glass, porcelain dolls, miscellaneous pottery notes (Call No.: ML MSS 6210/27-32)

1905-1994;  'Boosey and Hawkes', an album of notes and newscuttings concerning the history of music publisher Boosey and Hawkes compiled by Graham in 1986, annotated to 1991;  catalogues of music, 1954-1959;  notes concerning musicians;  notes concerning radio and television performances of opera and oratorio;  research notes and a small collection of programmes for opera, ballet and theatre, 1916-1958;  Research notes concerning vocal score of La Sonnambula by Bellini, adapted by Henry R. Bishop, which is located in the Mitchell Library printed books collection;  In the Cathedral, music by G.S. de Chaneet, words by Louis Voight - abbreviated version printed in Leipzig, undated, together with manuscript copy of vocal line annotated 'Wm Hutchens May 15th 1905'. 1969-1994;  Research notes concerning greeting cards, and examples of greeting cards. Originally housed by Graham in a variety of labelled envelopes and small boxes. Now housed in boxes 34 to 40. Boxes 34 to 36: Files of notes and newscuttings concerning Christmas cards, postcards, Valentine cards, cigarette cards;  notes concerning card publishers and stationers. Box 37: Examples of greeting cards, 1960s to 1980s, most produced or used in Australia. Boxes 38 and 39: Examples of greeting cards originally housed in a box labelled by Graham 'Modern cards from early 1960s and onwards, various types - wedding, birthday, Easter, Xmas...'. Includes mourning cards, 1930s, 1960s-1970s, Christmas cards, personalised cards, specific brands of Australian and overseas cards, business and company cards, Easter cards, 'thank you' cards. Box 40: 'Modern (1970s) greeting cards, mostly Christmas - standard types, special/unusual types...';  examples of greeting cards, 1960s to 1980s, most received by Graham   (Call No.: ML MSS 6210/34-40)

Box 43: Various subjects including bookplates, European ceramics, Ballarat statuary, silk pictures, dinosaurs, calendars, advertisements for confectionery and cosmetics, 1938-1984, pictures exhibited at Esk Bank House, Lithgow. Box 44: Notes and newscuttings, 1970-1994, concerning Australian and overseas films, radio and animated cartoons;  miscellaneous research notes;  maps used for reference;  lists of locations of items stored in the Graham Collection, together with brief descriptions of some items (Call No.: ML MSS 6210/43-44)
