Scrapbook titled ‘Football career of Viv. Thicknesse’, containing newspaper cuttings, match reports, articles, and photographs, some loose, relating to career of Thicknesse in rugby union with Easts and the Waratahs, as a representative water polo player, and his conversion to rugby league with Easts, NSW, and Australia. Thicknesse is ‘Declared to as Dangerous Cargo … disguised as a footballer … wound on cones and twisted (round the nearest thing he can find on deck)’, signed ‘Soccer Joe’.
