The subject files typically contain: photographic prints from various sources, mounted on pages or loose, mostly uncaptioned; photographs copied or cut from books, magazines and newspapers; typescript articles; individual issues of Australasian Railway and Locomotive Historical Society Bulletins; hand-drawn and printed maps. Many files also contain loose pages from other files.
