Contains the judicial proceedings of a lawsuit brought by Mendana against Francisco Lorenzo and Marcos Perez concerning the barque "Nuestra Senora de la Candelaria," 1582-1585, and of the Bishop of La Plata versus Lorenzo and Perez, with capitulations granted Mendana for his discoveries. A typescript note at the front by H. Bingham, 1941 describes the volume
