Letters from soldiers in the field in Gallipoli, Egypt, France and Belgium to friends and relatives at home, including notifications of death and letters of condolence, photographs, postcards, newscuttings. 

The volume contains photographs of Capt. Albert Jacka and Francis Eaton, and Thomas Hill among others. It also contains cover letters and envelopes from donors, an issue of the Egyptian War Cry, Oct. 1918 and a newscutting of the Mitchell Library request for letters, 1 Dec. 1915
