Orsova, 14 July 1915, hospital duties on board ship, events in Port Said and in camp in Southampton, Aug. 1915, duties on the hospital ship Karoola, return voyage to Australia, training at the Officers Training School, Royal Military College, Duntroon, Jan. 1916, voyage on board the transport Wiltshire with reinforcements to the 3rd Battalion, Aug. 1916, arrival at Plymouth camp 12 Oct. 1916, service in France Nov. 1916, finding his brother Alan's grave Jan. 1917 and marches, billets and fighting in the front line.
