1 presentation album of maroon-coloured Russian leather, embossed in gold, with the monogram of Mr and Mrs Knox with dates 1844-1894, bordered by sprays of cane, on front cover.

Shows the various establishments of the Colonial Sugar Company, with sketches by leading artists of the colony (Percy Spence, B. E. Minns, D. H. Souter, Arthur Streeton, Frank Mahoney), together with platinotype photographs by J. H. Newman arranged in a montage style on each page. Title page by Percy Spence features an allegorical female figure surrounded by sugar cane, tropical pineapples and lush foliage, with an inset view of Double Bay, being the view from Knox's residence 'Fiona'.

Includes scenes of Head Office and operations at Canterbury, Blackfriars and Pyrmont Refineries in Sydney, as well as refineries in Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane and Auckland N.Z. Also Chatsworth and Harwood Mills on the Clarence River, Darkwater Mill on Macleay River, Broadwater Mill on Richmond River, Condong Mill on Tweed River, N.S.W., as well as mills, cane cutting and plantations in Queensland and Fiji.

A pamphlet describing the occasion, entitled 'Golden Wedding: presentation to Hon. E. Knox M.L.C. and Mrs Knox', and illustrated with portraits of Mr and Mrs Knox, view of the ceremony and of the gold plate presented and reproductions from the volumes is also included in the volume.
