A war diary by William Elphinstone Kay from 20 August 1914 to October 1915.  Octavo sized notebook (170 x 113 mm), quarter bound red leather, over cloth boards; with marble edges and cloth fore-edge tie. 

Inside front cover is the inscription, 'Capt W.E. Kay, C Section, Field Ambulance, 1915'. The diary contains several pages of lists of names of various Sections and Squads. Most of the diary is blank.
