Waterhouse family papers, together with papers of George Bass and Sarah Bass

1. 'Ode for the King's Birth-day 1811, 'copied by J.F.P[ownall] from an original print of the Ode given by him to Mr Edward A. Petherick of 17 Warwick  Square Paternoster Row, agent to George Robertson and Co.', 189? 

2. Copy of a letter from Sir William Macarthur to William Cowper, Colonial Secretary of New South Wales, Camden Park, 13 Dec 1861, in which Macarthur comments on George Bass, Henry Waterhouse, and the introduction of merino sheep into the colony and asserts that Sir Joseph Banks was 'my Father's most  bitter unrelenting enemy'.

3. Note from H.W. Bates of the Royal  Geographical Society to J.F. Pownall, 10 April 1889, advising that the Society already has a copy of the map 'A Topographical Plan of the Settlements of New South Wales...Surveyed by Messrs. Grimes and Flinders' published in 1799, includes a copy of the map in 8 separate pieces

4. Two printed pamphlets: Edwin Hartley Mears, 'On British Colonization;  particularly in reference to South Australia', London, G. Mann and J. Reynolds, [1839];  'The Emigrant's Guide to New South Wales, Van Diemen's Land,  Lower Canada, Upper Canada, and New Brunswick', London, W. Pearson for John Richardson et al, 1832
