Shows the medical officers and staff of the 1st Australian Dermatological Hospital (ADH), and was made in Cairo in 1916. Major Grigor, in the lighter-coloured uniform, is seated with his medical officers and a chaplain.

The hospital was first opened in May 1915 for AIF patients suffering from venereal diseases. In December 1915 it was taken over by 1ADH which had been raised in Sydney shortly before to run the Abbassia hospital.
