102. Tamworth, main northern line.  Original silo in the town, surrounded by industrial complexes, including other silos and hoppers.  A S008 silo built in 1934, with a storage capacity of 30,000 bushels.  16 of these silos were built in NSW between 1928 and 1934.  26/09/05
103. Warral, main northern line.  Location only.  An S024 (2,400 tonne capacity) silo built in 1934.  The bulkhead, D150 (15,000 tonnes) was added in 1970.  26/09/05
104. Duri, main northern line.  In the small village of Duri.  Abandoned platform adjacent to original silo.  the S024 (2,400 tonnes) silo has not been used in recent times.  26/09/05  
105. Breeza, Werris Creek to Moree line.  Location only on flat plain between hills.  The original S008 (800 tonnes) silo built in 1934 was added to in 1959 - an extra 2 bins with a capacity of 3550 tonnes.  siding line to silo no longer used.  26/09/05
106. Nea, Werris Creek to Moree line.  Location only on flat plain.  Original silo a S027 type (2,700 tonnes or 90,000 bushels) built in 1934.  26 of these silos were built between 1934 and 1936.  the 'D' depot bulkhead, D150, was added on the opposite side of the single track in 1966, having a capacity of 15,000 tonnes.  26/9/05
107. Curlewis, Werris Creek to Moree line.  In small town - station now abandoned.  Original silo (S027) built in 1934.  Two bulkheads added, the latest (C288) with a capacity of 28,800 tonnes was erected in 1969.  29/09/05
108. Baan Baa, Werris Creek to Moree line.  Located in a scattered village (the site of a fatal level crossing smash in May 2004).  The S027 silo (2,700 tonnes or 90,000 bushels) was built in 1934.  These silos were known as the 'New 90' to distinguish them from the previous S024 which had the same capacity.  26/09/05
109. Boggabri, Werris Creek to Moree line.  On the outskirts of the small town of Boggabri.  Original silo (S041) built in 1934 (not shown).  The large circular silo is an 'A' Depot type.  24 of these were built between 1955 and 1968.  This one is an 'A285' of 28,500 tonne capacity (1955).  The steel bins are a later addition. 26/09/05
110. Emerald Hill, Werris Creek to Moree line.  Located in small village, on flat plain.  The original silo is a 'S041' with a capacity of 4100 tonnes built in 1934.  the long bulkhead added in 1969 is a 'D150' carrying 15,000 tonnes of grain.  the large circular silo is an 'A191' built in 1963 with a capacity of 19,100 tonnes. 24 of these were built between 1955 and 1968.  26/09/05
111. Gunnedah North, Werris Creek to Moree line.  Located outside of town, away from original silo.  The 'C' depot bulkhead (C409 - 40,900 tonnes) was built in 1966.  They were constructed with concrete walls and ends with a corrugated steel roof.  the large circular silo is an 'A' depot (A285 - 28,500 tonne capacity) built in 1955. 26/09/05
112. Gunnedah, Werris Creek to Moree line.  Located in the large town of Gunnedah.  The S041 type silo (capacity 4100 tonnes) was built in 1934.  23 of these silos were built between 1926 and 1941.  Their capacity varied from 4100 to 5400 tonnes depending on the height of the bins (Standard was 70 foot ie 21.5 metres).  26/09/05
113. Gunnedah Mill, Werris Creek to Moree line.  Opposite original silo in the town of Gunnedah.  Concrete silo adjacent brick flour mill.  "Gunnedah Maize Mill' sign. 26/09/05
114. Ulamambri, Binnaway to Gwabegar line.  Located in village of Ulamambri in flat wooded country.  Original silo is a 'S027' of 2,700 tonne capacity built in 1935.  Two bulkheads were added, a 'B067' (6,700 tonnes) in 1960 (shown) and a 'D150' (15,000 tonnes) in 1969.  "Constructed for the Grain Elevator Board by Fisher & Ryan, Bulls Garden Rd, Whitebridge - No 41534." 27/09/05
115. Coonabarabran, Binnaway to Gwabegar line.  Located in town.  A small bulkhead of 6,500 tonne capacity but no longer used for grain storage.  Taken over by 'Broadfields Wool Northern ... Wool & skins'. 27/09/05
116. Binnaway, Binnaway to Gwabegar line.  In town, original silo built in 1935.  26 of these 'S027' silos were constructed between 1934 and 1936, having a capacity of 2,700 tonnes (90,000 bushels).  Set in a large, well cared for park with no fences to a number of operating siding lines.  Nearby is a large water tank (supplying original steam trains) and the old grain truck (pictured).  27/09/05
117. Binnaway South, Binnaway to Gwabegar line.  An 'A191' type circular silo on outskirts of town and away from original silo.  24 of these depots were built between 1955 and 1968.  This one with a capacity of 19,100 tonnes was one of several built in 1955.  It is adjacent a sporting oval and grandstand (pictured).  27/09/05
