Archibald Barwick diary, 22 August 1914-September 1915

Barwick describes recruitment and training in Sydney and departure for Egypt on the Afric, Oct. 18. He disembarked in Egypt for training 9 December and embarked for the Dardenelles, 4 Apr. 1915. Includes description of landing at Gallipoli, 25 April, warfare in Gallipoli, April-Sept. 1915 and return to Lemnos, Sept. 1915.
