Attributions / Conjectures
Formerly attributed to Sir Alfred Stephen (1802–1894). Attribution questioned by a researcher. There are many indications in the scrapbook that it belonged to Alfred Farish Hindmarsh Stephen (1844-1928). It contains many references to his father George Milner Stephen (1812-1894) and a clipping of the obituary of Sir Alfred Stephen (1802-1894).
