Notes
General note
There are several places called Mypunga in Bailliere's South Australian Gazetter, 1866
Signature / Inscriptions
Unsigned, assumed to be Gill because it was placed with others by him, some of which it resembles and because the subject is a favourite of his, also attributed to him by Sir William Dixson in contents list to album in which he kept DL Pe 50, title from pencil note on back where there is another saying '677/E'
Conservation note
Glue marks on back, this watercolour has been given something of the appearance of an oil, by the use of gouache or body colour and lacquer, possibly the paper has been deliberately roughened in places too, to give it the impression of greater density
