The Albatross was a steamer of the U.S. Fisheries Commission which made a cruise to the South Pacific in 1899-1900 under the command of Commander Jeffn. F. Moser, U.S.N. The Albatross visited the Marquesas, Tuamotus, Society Islands, Cook Islands, Niue, Tonga, Fiji, Ellice Islands, Gilbert Islands, Marshall Islands, and Caroline Islands
