Administrative / Biographical history
William Lawson was an explorer, pastoralist, politician and soldier. Together with Gregory Blaxland and William Wentworth, he successfully found a route across the Blue Mountains in 1813. He spent his remaining years on his properties at Bathurst, Springwood and Mudgee.
