Walter Warneford, a soldier of Randwick, New South Wales was born in Liverpool, England in 1888 and enlisted in the AIF at the age of 31, 26 Sept. 1914. He embarked from Sydney on board HMAT A16 Star Of Victoria, 20 Oct. 1914 and served at Gallipoli with the 1st Light Horse Regiment, transferring to General Birdwood's staff May 1915 and then to the...
