Administrative / Biographical history

John Campbell (1855-1924) was a scenic painter who migrated to Australia from Scotland in early 1880s. Linnwood House was built in 1891 by George McCredie (1859-1903), a prominent businessman of the day, Mayor of Holroyd, and Independent member for the State seat of Central Cumberland.
