Attributions / Conjectures

Although the pharmacy to which the records relate is not identified within the papers, it is believed that, as they were recovered from the corner of Bondi Road and Penkivil Street, Waverley, they belonged to the pharmacy owned by F.P.J. Gray which was previously located on that site (158 Bondi Road).

Frederick Percival John Gray (ca.1877-1950) was amongst the first cohort of Pharmacy students at the University of Sydney and was registered as a pharmacist by the Pharmacy Board of NSW on 9 May 1901.
