Sydney Exposures exhibition caption: Architect's model, Sydney, 9 March 1937 : model makers put the finishing touches to a replica of the new Metropolitan Water, Sewerage and Drainage Board building, planned for Pitt Street. When erected two years later, 'Building' magazine praised its 'modernity and forthrightness of design'.
