The provenance of this volume is not known. It has been attributed to George Wyndham based a comparison of handwriting in, George Wyndham - diary, 1830-1840 (B 1313).
An inscription in the volume opposite a page titled "1833 Vineyard ..." orientates the orchard as being near Scone. The inscription reads; "Vines planted on the Nth side of Houses...

George Wyndham was a wine-grower and pastoralist who emigrated to Australia in 1827. He purchased the Annandale Estate, located near Branxton in the Hunter River valley.
