Dr William Redfern, ca. 1774-1833, owned property at Bathurst, Cowra, Geelong and what became the municipality of Redfern, in addition to Campbellfields estate in the Airds district, N.S.W. On his death in England in 1833 his estate passed to his son, William Lachlan Macquarie Redfern. The latter died in 1904
