The portrait was in the possession of Colnaghi and Abach ca. 1907 and the photograph from which this one was taken was supplied by them to the library of Sir Robert Witt. Colnaghi in 1937 had no record of the whereabouts of the painting, but it appears to be the portrait described as a contemporary copy now (1969) in the National Library of Austral...
