A miniature watercolour probably on ivory of an unidentified man. The head and shoulders portrait is in an oval gilt metal frame with a ring attached to the top for hanging. The miniature is backed with a dark fabric, and the front and back of the frame is covered in glass.

General note
The Evans family married into the Scarvell family. John S. Scarvell married Maud Elizabeth Evans in 1906. Sydney Stewart Scarvell married Mabel Maria Devine Evans in 1904. John and Sydney were the two sons of George Scarvell (1834-1877). Maud and Mabel Evans were sisters.
Another sister, Alice Hazel Evans, married Arthur Cape in 1920. A...
