Presented by the Linnean Society of New South Wales, November 1964. The drawings were presented to the Society by Mrs C. W. Morgan of Pambula, N.S.W. on behalf of Mr Syms Covington, Junior.

Administrative / Biographical history
Syms Covington accompanied Mr Darwin as his personal attendant and helped to collect zoological specimens, particularly birds. Some years after the return of the 'Beagle', Mr Covington emigrated to N.S.W. where he spent the rest of his days.
