Administrative / Biographical history
Candido Vittorio Macinante (1888-1962) was born in Salerno, Campania. At the age of 12 he accompanied his elder brothers to Glasgow, Scotland, where he worked in their hairdressing and tobacconist shop. He migrated to Australia in 1908 and was naturalised in 1926.
