National education (Ireland). Return of, -1. the age at which persons may become pupil teachers or monitors respectively, in model schools; 2. the course of training at present prescribed for pupil teachers of the first and of the second year, &c.; 3. the number who, from the year 1869, inclusive, having been so trained in model schools, afterwards became teachers, as principals or assistants, in connection with the National Board; 4. the number of those at present in the service of the board, as principals or assistants, who have received such training in model schools, but are returned by the commissioners as untrained teachers [electronic resource].
