Local taxes. Returns (1) of the sums received by the several classes of local authorities in England and Wales, inclusive of the metropolis, during each of the seven local taxation years ended with 1883, distinguishing the sources of receipt, so far as practicable; (2) of the amount of loans outstanding in the case of each class of authority at the termination of each of the seven years; and (3). of the total population of England and Wales (estimated where necessary), and the valuation, for the purpose of the poor rate, in each year; and, of similar particulars for the metropolis (in continuation of Parliamentary Paper, no. 126, of session 1884) [electronic resource].
