Duncan Chisholm, alias George Mathews. Copies of correspondence, &c. relative to a fund of about Đ. 4,500, placed under the control of Duncan Chisholm, alias George Mathews, lately absconded from the office of the Chief Secretary in Ireland, &c. Return to an order of the Honourable the House of Commons, dated 11 March 1851;--for, copies "of any correspondence between John Sadleir, Esq., M. P., and His Excellency the Lord Lieutenant, between the 1st day of January and the 1st day of June 1849, relative to a fund of about Đ 4,500, placed under the control of Duncan Chisholm, alias George Mathews, lately absconded from the office of the Chief Secretary in Ireland:" "of the report of Messrs. Dobree, Brownrigg, and Andoe, commissioners appointed by the government to inquire into the frauds of the said Duncan Chisholm, alias George Mathews, on the 'tithe million,' 'concordatum,' 'regium donum,' and other funds; and also, copies of the evidence laid before the said commissioners:" "and, of any correspondence between Her Majesty's government and any clerks dismissed by His Excellency the Lord Lieutenant in consequence of the said report." Return to an order of the Honourable the House of Commons, dated 20 March 1851;--for, copies "of all correspondence between the Paymaster of Civil Services in Ireland, the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury, and the Irish government, having reference to George Mathews, alias Duncan Chisholm, in relation to the matter of tithes, between the year 1840 and the present time:" "and, all references to, and reports or letters from, the Commissioners of Audit, on the same subject."
