Returns to several orders of the Honourable House of Commons, dated 8th, 15th, 22d and 23d of March 1830, respectively:--for, returns relating to the army: viz. 1.--Military guards mounted within the bills of mortality, on 1st January 1829 and 1830 p. 2 2.--King's troops, as well officers as men, stationed in the island of Jamaica, in the years 1825, 1826, 1827 and 1828 p. 8 3.--Officers on the full, and on the half pay, from 25th March 1822 to 5th January 1830, p. 10 4.--Gentlemen who have been appointed from the military college in each year, from 20th January 1821 to 25th January 1830 p. 12 5.--Cadets at the Royal Military College, and the total expenses of the college, in each year from the 25th January 1821 to the 25th January 1830 p. 12 6.--Commissions in the army vacant without purchase, in consequence of deaths, removals, or resignations:--in continuation of Parliamentary Paper, no. 264, of 1828 p. 13 7.--Gentlemen who have been appointed to first commissions in regiments of cavalry, foot guards and infantry of the line, &c.:--in continuation of same paper p. 13 8.--Officers who have sold their retired full pay, or half pay commissions:--in continuation of same paper p. 14 9.--Officers who have purchased unattached commissions in succession to those who have sold their retired full-pay or half-pay commissions:--in continuation of same paper p. 18 10.--Officers holding brevet rank higher than their regimental rank, who have been allowed to retire upon unattached commissions on half-pay of the effective rank of what they held regimentally:--in continuation of same paper p. 28 11.--Money received from the sale of retired, full-pay, or half-pay commissions:--in continuation of same paper p. 30 12.--Commissions in the army, of each rank, which have been purchased, and the half or retired pay of the same cancelled p. 30 13.--Officers who have been dismissed the service, without trial by a court martial, since the year 1816:--in continuation of Parliamentary Paper, no.66, of 1827 p. 31 14.--General courts martial held at head quarters, in London, in Scotland, and in Ireland, from the year 1820 to 1829 inclusive:--in continuation of Parliamentary Paper, no.540, of 1821 p. 32 15.--Persons in the army tried by general courts martial, in each year, from the year 1820 to 1829, both inclusive:--in continuation of same paper p. 32 [electronic resource].
