Charities and charitable donations. Return to an address to His Majesty, dated 23d February 1829;--for, a return of the number of charities and charitable donations, for the benefit of the poor and other persons in England and Wales, registered in the offices of clerks of the peace of counties, cities or towns, pursuant to an act passed in the fifty-second year of the reign of George the Third, intituled, "an act for registering and securing of charitable donations;" together with a statement of the real and personal estate, and of the gross annual income, investment, and objects of such charities and charitable donations, with the names of the founders, and also of the person or persons in whose custody, possession, or control the deeds, wills and other instruments, whereby such charities and charitable donations were founded or secured; and also, the names of the trustee or trustees, feoffee or feoffees, possessor or possessors, of such real or personal estate, and of which memorial or statement any duplicate or copy has been transmitted into the Inrolment Office of the High Court of Chancery, pursuant to the directions of the said act [electronic resource].
