Biographical note
John Pascoe Fawkner, pioneer, was born 20 October 1792 at Cripplegate, England. Arriving at Port Phillip, Victoria, on 19 October 1803, Fawkner moved with his family to Hobart, Tasmania, in February 1804. On 5 December 1822 he married Eliza Cobb and in 1835 moved to Victoria.
