Administration convicted of high treason against King and people [electronic resource] : Of having feloniously and traiterously excited disturbances, and disaffection against His Majesty's person and government, by overtuning and perverting law; by oppression against law, by violent outrages against persons and property, by levying war against His Majesty's subjects, &c. &c. in order to share among them and their accomplices a monopoly of usurped power, and through that usurped power divide the spoils of an insulted and oppressed nation. [T]he kingly dignity and authority must be rendered odious and insecure; he must be exhibited to his people in the shape of their butcher; the latter must be trampled under foot, ... burned, shot, transported, hanged, torured, outlawed, and disarmed by whole provinces: and why? That a traiterous junto may fatten on the blood and sweat of a brave and loyal people. In a letter to the Marquis of Landsdowne, from an Irish farmer.
