At a vestry held on Thursday the 5th instant, a move having been made by Mr. Barwick, that a rate might be granted by the inhabitants solely for Mr. Parker's benefit; in consideration of his great want off such assistance, returns his best thanks to Mr. Barwick, for his kind intentions, and tho' he is fully sensible of his obligations to him, he must beg leave to decline this instance of his goodness, as no precedent is to be found in the parish books of such benificence either to Mr. Barwick, or any of his neighbours when in real necessity. ...
