Catalogue of the libraries of the Reverend and Learned Dr. John Wallis sometime since Savilian Professor of geometry in the University of Oxford, and of the Reverend Nathaniel Marshall L.L.D. late canon of Windsor, deceased [electronic resource] : Being a very curious collection of books in almost all languages, relating to the history, laws, and antiquities of divers parts of Europe, more especially to those of Great Britain and Ireland: among which are, Rymeri fœdera, editio optima, 20 vol. Corio Russico. Sir W. Digdale's works, compleat, 12 vol. Madox's works, compleat, 4 vol. votes to the end of King George I. 18 vol. compleat. Grævius's and Gronovius's Greek and Roman antiquities, 25 vol. Montfaucon's antiquities, French, 15 vol. Les dictionaires de Trevoux, de Bayle, & de Moreri, &c. Also several of the Greek and Latin fathers, books of architecture, mathematicks, husbandry, trade, voyages, civil, canon, and common law, lexicographers, natural history, physick, and surgery; particularly, a compleat sett of the philosophical transactions in 30 volumes in quarto. Likewise a compleat set of the classicks in Usum Delphini, Paris edition, all bound uniform in 60 vol. in 4to. and most of those cum notis variorum, and several printed by Aldus, Colinries, Gryphius, Vascosan, Morellius, Turnebus, R. and H. Stephanus, old Elzevir, &c. and in particular, the first edition of Cicero's works in 4 vol. folio, printed at Milan in 1498 bound in Russia leather. Together with a choice collection of books of inscriptions, coins, medals, &c. lately imported from Italy. Which will be sold very cheap, (the lowest price fixed in each book) on Wednesday, December 1st. 1736. by Fletcher Gyles bookseller, over against Gray's Inn in Holbourn. Catalogues may be had of Mr. Strahan in Cornhill; Messrs. Innys and Marby in St. Paul's Churchyard; Mr. Woodward in Fleetstreet; Mr. Lewis in Russel-street, Covent-Garden; Mr. Stagg in Westminster-Hall; Mr. Parker in Pall-Mall; Mr. Thurlbourne in Cambridge; Mrs. Fletcher in Oxford; and Mr. Leake in Bath, booksellers: and at the place of sale.
