The heavens survey'd, and the true system of the universe delineated, so as to form a curious astronomical instrument [electronic resource] : Exhibiting the number, order, periods, aphelions, perihelions, nodes, &c. of all the primary planets by inspection: together with an easy and expeditions method of ascertaining by the same instrument, and a new set of tables, their anomalies, longitudes, latitudes, retrogradations, conjunctions, elongations, and distances at all times, both heliocentric and geocentric; that is, as seen from the Sun and from the Earth; and also from one antoher. In the course of the work is met with a view of the system from the Earth, elucidating and explaining the true causes of the directions and retrogradations of the planets; and of the various phases they exhibit to us here: with the reasons of the transits of Venus and Mercury over the Sun; the times when they happen;----and an easy method of delineating the tracts those planets take in passing over his disk.-----Also, the remarkable path which the planet Mars seemed to describe in the heavens in the year 1762.
