Excise: permit writers. 1. A return of the number of permit writers in the service of the excise; distinguishing the number of those now employed who were previously in other departments of the excise; and the amount of salaries to each. 2. A copy of the present regulations for the appointment of the permit writers; stating by whom they are appointed, and what the limitation of age is for admission to the service. 3. A return of the number of permit writers who are now on pensions or superannuated, with the length of the previous service of each in that or any other department, and the amount of the pensions or superannuations of each [electronic resource].
