The thistle [electronic resource] : A dispassionate examine of the prejudice of Englishmen in general to the Scotch nation; and particularly of a late arrogant insult offered to all Scotchmen, by a modern English journalist. In a letter to the author of Old England, Dec. 27, 1746. The rose: being a detection of the pernicious tendency of two libels lately published, viz. in the Old England Journal, and a Pamphlet intitled, The thistle. Together with some considerations for repealing the heretable jurisdictions reserved to the Scots, by the 20th article of the treaty of union.
