Summary

Artist's book with each page of text redacted by the artist using black letraset paint. The rise and fall of civilization, the book which has been blacked out, was written by the economist Shepard Clough in 1951. Blacked-out book was first exhibited as part of Trans Art 1: Idea Demonstrations at Inhibodress gallery in 1971.
