Closure of debate (Standing Order No. 26). Return to an order of the Honourable the House of Commons, dated, 1 August, 1930;--for, return "respecting application of Standing Order No. 26 (closure of debate) during session 1929-30 (1) in the House and in Committee of the Whole House, under the following heads:--1. Date when closure moved, and by whom. 2. Question before House or committee when moved. 3. Whether in House or committee. 4. Whether assent given to motion or withheld by Speaker or Chairman. 5. Assent withheld because, in the opinion of the Chair, a decision would shortly be arrived at without that motion. 6. Result of motion, and, if a division, numbers for and against. And (2) in the Standing Committees under the following heads:--1. Date when closure moved, and by whom. 2. Question before committee when moved. 3. Whether assent given to motion or withheld by Chairman. 4. Assent withheld because, in the opinion of the Chair, a decision would shortly be arrived at without that motion. 5.
