Licensing. A bill [as amended by Standing Committee B and on report] to extend state management to new towns and to make further provision as respects state management districts; to amend the law relating to licensing justices and confirming and compensation authorities; to provide for the payment of allowances to members of licensing courts and courts of appeal in Scotland; to prohibit in certain cases the supply and consumption of intoxicating liquor outside the permitted hours and to provide in certain cases for later permitted hours, and to make further provision as respects refreshment houses and spirit and wine dealers; to amend the Licensing Planning (Temporary Provisions) Acts, 1945 and 1946, and to extend the provisions of the Finance Act, 1946, as to the suspension of justices' licences; to provide for the application of the licensing laws to the Isles of Scilly; and for purposes connected with the matters aforesaid [electronic resource].
