Brief extracts from a diary written by Alexander Oliver. Diary now held at the University of Sydney Archives. Oliver was a Royal Commissioner appointed to investigate land holding and use on Norfolk Island in 1903. The steamer 'Ovalau' sank at Lord Howe Island on the return trip.
