The Method of Mooring, Unmooring, and Working a Ship in all difficult Cascs at Sea, on a Lee-Shore, or coming into Harbour. The Manner of Managing the great Guns; of Forming the Line; of an Engagement at Sea; and of Surveying Coasts and Harbours; with an Explanation of the Sea Terms. The New Method of finding the Latitude by two Altitudes of the Sun; and of finding the Longitude by the Moon's Distance from the Sun or fixed Star. To which are added, the tables of difference of latitude and departure to 300 Miles Distance; New Solar Tables; the Table of Natural Sines; a new Table of the Latitude and Longitude of Places, according to the latest Observations; a Table, shewing the Times of the rising and setting of the Sun, Moon, fixed Stars, and Planets; and all other tables useful at sea.
