Based on Manuel Faria e Sousa's 'Europa Portugesa'; the section on the inquisition has been extracted from 'Tractatus de officio sanctissimae inqvisitionis [sic]' by Cesare Carena, and that on the towns and rivers from 'Poblacion general de Espan̄a' by Rodrigo Mendes Silva.
