The presbyterian clergy seasonably detected [electronic resource] : or, Their publick and private Life, in all the Countries of Europe where they are tolerated, examined and described with Candour. Containing Many Entertaining and Tragical Scenes; And the Reasons why the British Parliament, and all the Virtuous of the Nation, should unite in opposing the Scotch Presbyterian Clergy's Scheme of Augmentation of their Stipends. Wrote in a Course of Letters to a Man of Quality, by one who quitted their Society with a fair Character, and has seen and studied their Conduct in most of the Buropean Countries where they have a Toleration of Teaching.
