Summary
In 1939, Austrian climber Heinrich Harrer set out to climb the Himalayas. The attempt is a disaster, and his team abandons the climb, only to be imprisoned in a P.O.W. camp. Their escape takes Harrer to the heart of Tibet, where he forms an unlikely bond with the young Dalai Lama. A friendship that opens both their eyes to the world.
