General note

Apparently pirated. The first sentence of Tench's part is rewritten, and thence the work is copied directly with numerous omissions, to the end. The original chapter headings are omitted, except that the heading for chapter 11, p. 76 is preserved in a shortened form.

Dixson Library copy at: 78/70 has the armorial bookplate of William Dixson. Frontispiece and title page mounted; frontispiece torn, with no loss of content, and imprint on title page cut away. Bound in mottled calf with gilt border, inner dentelles and edges and marbled endpapers....
