The Art of Inlisting Men: Or, the Secret History of a remarkable Officer of Dragoons in the Year, 1735. III. Practices after Inlisting, whereby the Horses are deprived of their Corn, the Men of their Money, and the King of his Soldiers, by False Ministers. IV. Proofs of 300 l. a Year, being sunk out of the King's Allowance of 500 l. a Year for a Troop of Dragoons. V. The Sinking-Fund continu'd; near 50,000 l. a Year being sunk by Fagots, and 100,000l. a Year, by furnishing the Forces with Accoutrements, &c. VI. The Author's Sufferings, as a Foot-Soldier, 1736. The Connivance of Trading Justices and Serjeants, as to Inlisting; his false Imprisonment and Release, 1737. Vii. The Transactions of Tea-Table-Officers; how little they regard, and how frequently they break, the Articles of War. Viii. Of Military-Punishments, and the Severities inflicted upon Soldiers in the Savoy, Black-Hole, &c. IX. The Honour of the Sword; wherein is made appear that a real Gentleman Soldier, rightly educated, is the finest Gentleman in the World. The Example and Character of Prince Eugene recommended. X. Articles of War, and other valuable Papers relating to the Regulation of the Army. With the Artifices made use of to prevent the Publication of this Book. The Whole Addressed to his Majesty.
