An excellent introduction to architecture [electronic resource] : Being a book of geometrical-practice: which is the first degree of all arts: wherein is contained variety of examples of that admirable science, shewing and describing the making of several figures in that nature, with the proper names belonging to each member and figure, and how to begin and end them after a plain and easie manner, it being of great use to all artists and workmen concerned in building; more especially, surveyors, architects, engineers, masons, carpenters, joyners, bricklayers, plasterers, painters, carvers, glasiers, &c. In general, for all that are concerned, or delight to practise with the rule and compasse.
