General note

"N.B. The red line denotes the extent of the Survey the rest being Eye-sketch and the dotted lines the extent of the Shoals." ( There is no red line.)

Bradley and Hunter finished surveying Port Jackson by 6 Feb. 1788; following the rest of their surveys they sailed out of the Colony on 2 Oct. 1788 to return on 8 May 1789.

The data gathering for the chart may have taken place during five months of 1788, eight in 1789, and two in 1790....
